Lydia had her 1 year check up today with her Doctor. She did very well, considering it intruded on her morning nap and she had to have 3 big shots and a finger prick blood test. Poor baby. BUT, she got straight A's again, as usual! Shining star!!! Yes folks...she continues to top the charts. Literally. 
Lydia has Baby Einstein flashcards. It's usually her Daddy who does them with her, and it's sooooo cute. It's like she's at school. And she loves it! As soon as he reads a card and shows her the picture, she takes it from him and either looks closely at it, or eats it. Then, when he reads the next card, she drops that one and grabs the new one and does the same thing. They get a good rhythm going. I make fun of Oliver's silly "flashcard voice" but I have to give him credit - she pays close attention to him! She seems to really respond to his flashcard voice! Pics and video below.
Also, over the last couple of weeks she has learned how to climb the stairs. We're proud of her, certainly, but now we have to add this to the list of things she gets into that we have to monitor.
