A brief update on Lydia's lemon larceny...

By last weekend we had accumulated 4 lemons in the backseat of Oliver's car. Earlier this week he attempted to return them... but the bowl of lemons was gone! The person who lives there had brought their summer decorations inside. We still felt that we should return the lemons to her, since she paid for them, so Grammy wrote her a note of apology and explained that her 2 year old grandaughter has been having a bit of fun... She left the note and the 4 lemons in a small bowl on the doorstep. This morning, the bowl of lemons was there with a note from the woman who lives there responding with "2 year olds should have their fun!"

Isn't that sweet? And guess what Lydia did? She took 2 lemons!

Hello everyone! I don't have any new pictures of Lydia to share with you today, but I do have an update on her sister Molly! Yesterday I went to the Doctor for my regular baby check-up. I'm 24 weeks along (although I think I look about 40 weeks along), and she's doing great. Her heartbeat was strong, and according to the sonogram, she weighs about 1 lb. 5 ounces. Right on track. I'm feeling her kick and move, although not as often as I thought I would by now. The Doctor says within the next few weeks I should be feeling her move around consistently. She was in breech position yesterday (head up, tail down) but we're not concerned about that right now, because she will inevitably move around and turn over a lot between now and the big day. So, Praise God! Molly is going great.

In other news... last night I attended Parents Night at Lydia's preschool. Oliver stayed home to get Lydia to bed on time, and I promised to take good notes. I'll write more about that later. It was a great meeting, and really reinforced that Lydia is in a fantastic school!

Happy Sunday! We went to church this morning, and then out to brunch with Grammy and Poppy. We sat in a big round booth so I got to crawl around and play and I had a lot of fun!

And... Happy 1st Cowboys Game of the Regular NFL Season Day!

I watched a little football this afternoon...

And I snuggled with my Daddy...

Daddy went night-night, and I woke him up in a very special way. (Video)

Happy Saturday, everyone!
I had a GREAT second week of preschool. One of my teachers told Mommy that I am "sooooooooo sweet" and she wishes that all of the kids in class were just like me! One day I got to be "Line Leader", and I made several art projects that I brought home to Mommy and Daddy. School is fun.

Tonight we went over to Omi and Opa's house for dinner. I had fun!

This morning Mommy and I went for a walk. We saw a pony! Someone was having a birthday party down the street, and they were unloading a pony and a petting zoo in front of the house - so neat!

That's all for today!
(Did you know that I LOVE to brush my teeth?)
Night-night!

Happy Labor Day! Today I went over to visit my cousin Warner, Aunt Katie and Uncle Mike at their community swimming pool. They have water slides and fountains and several pools of all shapes and sizes. It was fun!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today is my Daddy's birthday! I love him very much and I'm so glad God created him! Daddy makes me laugh, and he makes me smile, and he makes me feel loved. This morning I helped Mommy make a special birthday breakfast for Daddy! Well...actually...maybe I didn't help that much. Mommy said I could stand on my stool and help stir the pancake batter, but that didn't sound very fun to me, really. So I played with my toys instead, cuz that's fun!
Later Mommy, Daddy and I went on a walk outside while I ate my snack. I love to be outside!
(Despite appearances, I am NOT picking my nose, thank you very much! It was just itchy!)

Tonight Mommy and Daddy are going out and I get to go have a slumber party at Grammy and Poppy's house!

Guess who had another great day at school today?

When I dropped her off at school this morning, she was a happy camper. She sat down and began to play with her new friends and her teacher. (and I snuck out of the room)
Oliver picked her up this afternoon, and she was all smiles. Much to our surprise, she took a nap on her nap mat today! For almost an hour! We thought that transition might take a little longer, but nope - our super adaptable sweetie understood what was expected, felt secure, and went to sleep. Yay! She had a busy day today. They did a watercolor art project (see below) and they learned about sharing, and about the calendar, they had music class, and did lots of other fun activities.
We love school!
