Favorite sleeping position. Hopefully soon we'll have a picture of Lydia SMILING! Right on schedule at 6 weeks old, she has figured it out and flashed her first "real" smiles this week!! Oh it was so cute!!! What a sweetie.

Lydia had a great weekend visiting her grandparents in Hot Springs. She also got to meet her Great Grandmother! How special. She was a trooper in the car. Slept most of the way, naturally. Mommy caught a quick nap, too - check out the picture Oliver caught from the front seat. See Lydia in the mirror? Grammy and Grandpa loved having her visit and were sad to see her leave. Grammy was especially great at comforting her anytime she was fussy. We will miss her magic touch!

We forgot to post Lydia's stats! She visited the Pediatrician last Friday. We guessed that she had probably gained a little weight, but we were nonetheless surprised when the scale showed almost a 2 pound gain over a 2 week period!! So it would seem that despite the many, many, MANY spit-ups, our little one is clearly keeping enough down. Here's the latest on Lydia (as of 5/9/08, 4 weeks post-delivery)

Length: 21 3/4 in.
Weight: 9 lbs, 14 oz (!!!!!)
Head: 14 1/2 in.

Lydia's belly button has healed, and now she is allowed to have "real" baths in the bathtub! I think she enjoyed it! Here's a short video. (it's a challenge to post longer videos...the files are too large.)
