Lydia was dedicated at church today! Dedication is when a very young child's parents dedicate their child to God, praying his covering and guidance over their life until they one day, we pray, make their own decision to follow God according to their own faith. The church congregation prays for the child, as well as for the parents to have wisdom in raising the child according to God's word, and for our little family as a whole. It was a special service because both sets of Lydia's grandparents were present, as well as Aunt Kelly and Uncle Joshua and the Barron family's dear friend Pam. We got up extra early this morning in an effort to ensure Lydia had a good nap before church, but alas... she was just not in a nap sort of a mood this morning evidently! This stressed her Mommy out! But she caught a few winks on the way to church and in the end, was a perfect angel up on the stage and during the service. Good girl, Lydia! Your family was SO proud to belong to you!
