My good friend Shannon recently started a Discovery Toys business. (Shannon is Gracie Gauger's Mommy. Gracie has a GREAT blog - you can check it out via the link on the right side of the page. It is so cute and entertaining!) Lydia and I attended a party at Shannon's house last month, and we learned a little bit about these great learning toys. We bought 2 toys, and Lydia likes them both very much. My personal favorite is the "My Busy Day" blocks. It's like reading a book about a toddler's activities all day, from the time they get up, until they go to bed again. The blocks stack so high, they are taller than Lydia! She plays with them different ways - sometimes she'll take the time to look at the pictures on each block, sometimes she'll take them down from the tower gently, one by one, and of course many times...she just knocks the whole thing down and thinks just great!

wow! That looks like so much fun. I might have to get Gracie some of those cute blocks! Glad she likes them!!
