An advantage of not having purchased a dining room set yet... Lydia gets to walk back and forth and back and forth (and back and forth some more).

Video...

I just thought this face below was funny and wanted to share it with the world. There's a repetitive slobbery zurbert sound that goes with it of course.

She continues to ease her way up to the TV for a front, front row seat for Baby Einstein viewings. We should probably discourage this, huh?

Have you ever followed a baby around? They stop and discover something about every 3 seconds, then crawl or walk a few steps and discover something else and it goes on and on and on... Here's Lydia in her own little world:

Stopped to look at her shoe. Hmmm...nice shoe.

Moved on from the shoe... Stopped to flick the door stop. Because that's always fun!

Maybe I'll climb the stairs.

Oooh neat...stair rails! I'll peek through!

What's next, Lydia?

Lydia likes to be chased around the bed.

Since Lydia's frist birthday, we have been SLOWLY (and I confess, inconsistently) trying to make the transition from bottle to sippy cup. Altogether we have purchased 4 varieties of sippy cups so far - tried them all - and well, it's not going as well as we'd hoped. She doesn't like any of them yet. We have officially packed away all of her bottles, and she is only allowed to drink from the transition bottle/cup which is somewhat like a bottle, but designed to help them with the transition to the full-flow sippy cup. It has 3 stages of lids, with different flow openings. Last weekend we tried stage 2. Oh boy... it didn't go over very well. Enjoy these 2 videos of our sweet angel. At first she was just annoyed. Then she was sad. Then she was down-right mad!

Love those legs!

Have you tried the Nuby sippy's? They are very similar to a bottle with a rubber top. I spent so much $ trying diff. cups! Those are the only ones she would drink from for awhile...
